It definitely took a while to cool down my small apartment room with this one, and it was a bit loud. For the cost, I might consider alternatives, but it's definitely better than not having it, even if it doesn't do the job very well. To be fair, this is the first portable AC I've ever used, so I'm not sure what the standard is.

ONE SEASON

It worked fine when I bought it, but now it won't continue to work, it keeps shorting circuits.. so if I can't use it, it won't get high marks

Nice but needs improvement

It's a bit noisy but keeps my room cool. One issue I had was fitting the pipes and sleeves for the windows. They are difficult to get in. The air tube doesn't want to stay in the casing and keeps popping out the window or the machine. Then I would blow hot air into the room. I decided not to use a sleeve and just snap the tube over the window. It's not very efficient at keeping the whole room cool this way, but at least it's better than being outside in summer.

I am iffy about this purchase.

I'm not sure if it's the A/C issue or my environment. I have the unit in an 8x12 outdoor shed that is fully insulated/drywalled and I can't seem to keep that small area anywhere near 80 degrees when the A/C is set to 65 degrees. I have heat extraction fans, I have the unit in a good coverage area and the heat output is set correctly, just not sure if it's my setup or the product.

Buttons on machine stopped working

After only 3 months, the buttons stopped working. Now it can only be controlled by remote control. What if the remote also stops working?
